Biology/Forensic Science: Honors Forensic Science
Instructor: Veronica Gentry
Forensic Science is the application of a broad range of sciences to answer questions of interest in a legal system most always arising from a crime. It is important to know that this course is not for the squeamish or the faint of heart. Forensic Science is used to solve all types of cases but often times it involves solving cases of murder. Throughout the course, we will learn about the processes involved in breaking down the human body, autopsy procedures, and analysis of skeletal remains. While we will not be working with real bodies, we will look at pictures and watch videos that may involve gruesome pictures. If you do not have any trouble watching CSI, Bones, or any other crime investigation television show you should be just fine. Additionally, I have designed this course to be rigorous and challenging. As with any challenging course, the responsibility of studying and being prepared for class falls on the student.
